Milo Butler Group of Companies, today announced the appointment of Jevon Butler to the position of Sales & Marketing Manager effective August 8, 2017.

In this new role, Mr. Butler will head the company’s sales and marketing initiatives across Milo Butler’s wholesale, retail, real estate and liquor divisions. He brings more than fifteen years of sales, marketing and business development experience from industries including financial services and the retail beverage industry to this new appointment.

Mr. Butler is the grandson of Sir Milo B. Butler, the country’s first Bahamian Governor-General and founder of Milo B. Butler & Sons Ltd. Growing up in family’s homestead on Ernest Street, Mr. Butler spent many days lending a helping hand in the business.

Upon returning from University, his first job was with the company as a part of the purchasing and logistics team. As a part of the third generation to serve in leadership roles at Milo Butler, he will develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to sustain company’s overall growth.

Mr. Butler previously worked in the financial services industry as a Trust Administrator at a leading offshore bank. Later, he moved on to serve in several capacities at Bristol Group of Companies, including as General Manager of the Northern Bahamas, Internal Controls Manager of the Retail Division, and Brand Manager within the company’s Sales Division.

Most recently, Mr. Butler worked as Business Development Manager at Cash N’ Go Bahamas, a wholly owned subsidiary of BAF Global Group, where he led the brand’s growth and market expansion, doubling the company’s physical locations and increasing the retail clientele by five-fold over a four-year period.

Mr. Butler graduated from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a minor in Sales and Marketing in 2001. He also earned an Accounting degree from the College of The Bahamas, now University of The Bahamas. An active member of Toastmasters, Mr. Butler is a recurring host of the You & Your Money television program and is the Immediate Past President of the James Catalyn & Friends Theatrical Company.
