GENERAL SITUATION: A surface trough over the Bahamas will produce a few scattered showers and thunderstorms as it moves westward to the Florida area by Monday night. Surface trough lingers over Florida for most of the week while a mid to upper level trough over the Bahamas enhances summer showers and thunderstorms through Wednesday while weak high pressure ridge builds across the area through the weekend.

Tuesday 22nd
– Partly cloudy to cloudy, hot and humid with some scattered showers and thunderstorm today through night time. Maximum temperature 92ºF and minimum temperature 79ºF. Small craft should exercise caution across the SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas and 4 to 7 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Wednesday 23rd – A mix of sun and clouds, hot nd humid with a few scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms mainly across the NW Bahamas. Partly cloudy and warm over the NW and Central Bahams, but fair and warm across the SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 93ºF and minimum temperature 80ºF. Small craft caution across the SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas; E to SE at 12 to 18 knots in the Central Bahamas and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet over the NW Bahamas; 3 to 5 feet in the Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas..

Thursday 24th – Mostly cloudy to overcast, hot and humid with scattered showers or thunderstorms mainly over the NW and Central Bahamas through night time. Maximum temperature 92ºF and minimum temperature 81ºF. Winds SE to S at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas and E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet across the entire Bahamas..

Friday 25th – cloudy to cloudy, hot and humid with some scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms mainly across the NW Bahamas through night time. Maximum temperature 93°F and minimum temperature 81°F. Winds SE to S at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas, falling light and variable at times and E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas, falling light and variable at times. Seas 2 to 4 feet the ocean for all areas.

Saturday 26th – Partly sunny, hot and humid with a few scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms during the day. Mainly fair and warm at night with lingering showers. Maximum temperature 92°F and minimum temperature 80°F. Winds variable at 10 knots or less across the NW and Central Bahamas and E’ly at 10 to 15 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 3 feet or less in the NW and Central Bahamas and 2 to 4 feet over the SE Bahamas.

Sunday 27th – Partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorm across the NW Bahamas through night time. Partly to mostly sunny, hot and humid with the chance of a shower, turning fair and warm at night in the Central and SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 91ºF and minimum temperature 80ºF. Winds SSE to SSW at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas and E’ly at 10 to 15 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet over the entire Bahamas.

Beachgoers and Mariners should exercise extreme caution due to the high risk of rip currents and rough surf, especially along the northern and eastern shorelines during stated advisories. Boaters and beachgoers should be alert for possible waterspout activity and take all necessary precautions to protect life and property.
