On Wednesday August 2nd, 2017, author Barbara Wilson R. N. hosted a successful book launch and signing for her book "The Rise" at Nassau Agencies Ltd.

Mrs. Wilson explained that while the book surrounds a political event, it is a book of inspiration, motivation, encouragement and entertainment.

It is the story of Dr. The Hon. Hubert A. Minnis, a "Bain Town boy", who became a successful Physician & Surgeon and then a politician, then leader of The Free National Movement Party and leader of The Official Opposition in Parliament and who went out to withstand a most tumultuous journey during the past five years to beat all the odds and become The Prime Minister of The Commonwealth of the Bahamas. 

She hopes that those who read the book will be encouraged and motivated to be persistent in their goals, to take a page out of Dr. Minnis' book and never give up!
