The Antique Auto Club of The Bahamas recently made good on its promise to donate towards scholarships for students who qualify to study Auto Mechanics at the Bahamas Technical & Vocational Institute (BTVI).

The $1,000 donation was a part of its 30th anniversary celebrations, as well as to honor the life of the late Charles Johnson - a skilled mechanic who was passionate about young people learning the trade.

Furthermore, BTVI participated in the Antique Auto Club’s Car Show held at Arawak Cay in March, of which part proceeds went towards the scholarships for students to obtain a Diploma in Auto Mechanics at the institution.

The event showcased 70 new and classic cars, trucks and motorcycles.
