Advanced Poll Instructions

A "Special Voter" is someone who is able to vote prior to the general elections in the Advanced Poll on May 3rd, 2017.

Section 49C of the Parliamentary Elections Act allows persons to qualify as Special Voters if they come under the following groups:

- Individuals who will be sick as a patient in a hospital on Election Day;

- Individuals who, or females because of recent childbirth, may be temporarily away from their home constituency on Election Day;

- Individuals who may have to travel and will not be in their home constituency on Election Day; - Any candidate or his/her spouse;

- Election Agent, Election Official, Poll Worker or staff of the Parliamentary Registration Department.


All persons who fall within the above categories can apply to the Parliamentary Commissioner at the Parliamentary Registration Office for a "Special Voter Certificate" to vote at the Advanced Poll on May 3rd, by completing the Form K no later than April 21st, 2017.
