GENERAL SITUATION: A secondary cold front will catch-up and merge with a stationary front in the SE Bahamas, and then it will linger in the area through Thursday ahead of an approaching front north of the Bahamas. A strong high pressure system will produce windy conditions across the Bahamas as a stationary front dissipates south of the area on Friday. Strong high pressure system will dominate the weather across the Bahamas through Sunday.

Tuesday 21st – Partly to mostly sunny and mild during the day, turning mainly fair and cool at night but a bit breezy in the SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 76ºF and minimum temperature 61ºF. Small craft caution for the SE Bahamas. Winds NE to E at 10 to 15 knots, falling light and variable at times in the NW and Central Bahamas and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas with moderate to large N’ly to NE’ly swells.

Wednesday 22nd – Partly sunny and warm during the day with lingering clouds and showers across the SE Bahamas through the night. Fair and mild at night elsewhere. Maximum temperature 78°F and minimum temperature 64°F. Small craft caution continues over SE Bahamas late. Winds light and variable at times changing N’ly to NE’ly at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas and 4 to 7 feet in the SE Bahamas with light to moderate NE’ly to E’ly swells..

Thursday 23rd – Partly to mostly sunny and warm during the day but cloudy periods with showers likely in the NW and SE Bahamas at night. Maximum temperature 80ºF and minimum temperature 66ºF. Small craft caution for the Central and SE Bahamas at first but an advisory for all areas through nightfall. Winds NE to E at 10 to 15 knots across the NW Bahamas increasing to 15 to 20 knots later and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas at first, increasing to 20 to 25 knots later. Seas 2 to 4 feet across the NW Bahamas building to 6 to 9 feet later and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas building to 6 to 9 feet later in moderate to large NE’ly to E’ly swells.

Friday 24th
– Partly cloudy to cloudy, windy and warm with few scattered showers during the day through the night time. Maximum temperature 79F and minimum temperature 66°F. Small craft advisory for all areas. Winds NE to E at 20 to 25 with gusts to 30 knots mainly in the SE Bahamas. Seas 7 to 10 feet over the ocean with moderate to large NE’ly to E’ly swells.

Saturday 25th – Partly cloudy, windy and warm with few isolated showers during the day. Partly cloudy and mild at night. Mainly Maximum temperature 77°F and minimum temperature 63°F. Small craft an advisory remains across all areas. Winds E’ly at 20 to 25 knots with gusts to 30 knots for all areas. Seas 7 to 10 feet over the ocean but higher in gusts. Moderate to large NE’ly to E’ly swells likely.

Sunday 26th – Partly sunny, breezy and warm with few isolated showers. Fair and mild for most areas but lingering showers and clouds across the SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 81°F and minimum temperature 68°F. Small craft caution in the NW Bahamas and an advisory for the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas and NE’ly to E’ly at 20 to 25 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 7 feet over the NW Bahamas and 6 to 9 feet over the Central and SE Bahamas in moderate NE’ly to E’ly swells.

Beachgoers and mariners should exercise extreme caution due to the high risk of rip currents and rough surf, especially along the northern and eastern shorelines during stated advisories. Winds and seas will be higher in heavy showers and thunderstorms.
