The Bahamas National Sailing School (B.N.S.S.) are hosting their fifth annual art show, 'Art for Sail', on Saturday, March 25th at Goodfellow Farms, Mount Pleasant from 2pm - 8pm. There will be a great line up of talented artists and craftspeople from across The Bahamas showcasing their work and donating a generous percentage of sales to the B.N.S.S..

The sailing school, which is totally self-funded, relies on fundraising events such as this to maintain it's year-round program in which children from all walks of life can learn and enjoy the skill of sailing.

Some of the proceeds also go towards the costs involved in sending some of our top young sailors to represent The Bahamas at international events worldwide.

All are welcome to come and peruse the tremendous variety of work for sale: original art and prints by Judith Papillon, Malcolm Rae, Toby Lunn, Harry Quinn, Allan P. Wallace, Dion Lewis, Katerina Kovatcheva, Katrina Vanderlip, Jonathon Bethel, Trevor Tucker, Andrew Knowles, Tina Klonaris-Robinson, Quentin Minnis and Ryan Turnquest. Photography by Rashad Penn, Scott Aranha and Robert Dunkley, Jewellery by Caroline Anderson, Ava Forbes, Jennifer Bethel and Nadia Campbell.

Textiles by Emma Tinkler and Tiff Barrett. Glassworks by Nouveau Glassworks, collage by Sophie Dumas and woodturning by Celestine Albury.

Attending this very special show is not only an opportunity to support our National Sailing School and it’s operations, but also to support local artistic Bahamian talent. Admission is $25 and free for children under 16.

This includes a complimentary glass of wine or beer and a great selection of 5* hors d’oeuvres. Last year’s show was an outstanding success and “Art for Sail” is fast becoming one of the top art events in the Bahamas.
