"BREAKING: A Bahamasair ATR 70-seater valued at around $20 million (part of the new fleet) was damaged when a tornado touched down at LPIA overnight. Reportedly, the plane is insured.

Bahamasair officials have contacted the manufacturer and technicians and engineers are expected in The Bahamas today. This is expected to negatively impact service. Several weeks ago, an ATR 50-seater was damaged when an employee accidentally drove into the aircraft, which was also insured and has since been repaired."
