GENERAL SITUATION: A fast moving cold front currently over South Florida will quickly move through the Bahamas and merge with a stationary front in vicinity of the Southeast Bahamas. Cold front will move eastward Tuesday and weaken south of the Bahamas later in the week. Broad high pressure will slowly build over the Bahamas for the rest of the week with a warming trend.

Tuesday 31st – Mostly sunny and mild in the NW and Central Bahamas, turning mostly fair to clear and chilly at night; partly cloudy and breezy with few lingering showers in the SE Bahamas, turning mostly fair and breezy at night. Maximum temperature 72°F and minimum Temperature 60°F. Small craft advisory for the SE Bahamas. Winds N to NE at 10 to 15 knots, falling light and variable at times in the NW and Central Bahamas and NNE to ENE at 15 to 25 knots across the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas and 5 to 8 feet over the ocean.

Wednesday 01st – Mostly Sunny and warm. Fair to clear and mild at night except for lingering clouds in the Central Bahamas. Maximum temperature 75°F and minimum temperature 63°F. Small craft advisory in the Central Bahamas and a caution in the SE Bahamas. Winds N to NE at 10 to 15 knots, falling light and variable at times in the NW Bahamas, NE to E at 15 to 25 knots in the Central Bahamas and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet over the NW Bahamas, 5 to 8 feet in the Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet over the SE Bahamas.

Thursday 02nd – Sunny periods, breezy and warm but lingering cloudy periods and showers mainly in the Central Bahamas. Partly cloudy to fair and breezy at night. Maximum temperature 79°F and minimum temperature 65F. Small craft advisory for NW and Central Bahamas and a caution for the SE Bahamas. Winds NE to E at 15 to 25 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 5 to 8 feet over the NW and Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Friday 03rd – Partly to mostly sunny, breezy and warm with the chance of a passing showers mainly in the Central and SE Bahamas. Mostly fair to clear skies and mild at night. Maximum temperature 80F and minimum temperature 67°F. Small craft caution in the NW Bahamas and an advisory for the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas and NE to E at 15 to 25 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 feet over the NW Bahamas and 5 to 8 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Saturday 04th – Partly to mostly sunny, breezy and warm with the chance of a passing shower. Partly cloudy to fair skies and breezy at night. Maximum temperature 81°F and minimum temperature 66°F. Small craft advisory in the Central Bahamas and a caution later in the SE Bahamas. Winds NE to E at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas, NE’ly at 15 to 25 knots at Central Bahamas and NE’ly at 10 to 15 knots SE Bahamas becoming 15 to 20 knots later. Seas 2 to 4 feet across the NW Bahamas, 5 to 8 feet in the Central Bahamas and 2 to 4 feet across the SE Bahamas building to 4 to 6 feet later.

Sunday 05th
– Partly to mostly sunny, breezy and warm with the slight chance of a shower. Fair to clear skies and mild at night. Maximum temperature 82°F and minimum temperature 66°F. Small craft advisory in the Central Bahamas and a caution across the SE Bahamas. Winds NE to E at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas, NE to E at 15 to 25 knots in the Central Bahamas and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet over the NW Bahamas, 5 to 8 feet in the Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Beachgoers and mariners should exercise extreme caution due to the high risk of rip currents and rough surf, especially along the northern and eastern shorelines during stated advisories. Winds and seas will be higher in heavy showers and thunderstorms.
