Members of the Customs Department assisted Bartlett Hill Primary School with their relocation efforts on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, after being displaced following Hurricane Matthew in early October. The effort by the Department is a part of their activities to celebrate International Customs Day, which is being celebrated on Thursday, January 26, under the theme, ““Data Analysis for Effective Border Management.”

The week began with a church service at Church of the Ascension on Sunday, and other activities include the donation of food items and clothing to the Church of God of Prophecy Outreach Programme on Thursday, and an awards ceremony honouring those officers from Grand Bahama, Abaco and Bimini for years of service at the Bahamas Union of Teachers Complex in Pioneers Loop; also a Customs Exhibition on Friday in the foyer of the C.A. Smith Complex from 9am to 4pm, inviting all high school students and members of the public. (BIS Photos/Vandyke Hepburn)
