GENERAL SITUATION: A strong cold front and frontal trough quickly moves through the Northwest Bahamas Monday and then continues through the Central and Southeast Bahamas by early Tuesday. Weak high pressure system gradually rebuilds across the Bahamas on Wednesday as a weaker cold front enters the NW Bahamas early Friday morning. Front will become stationary around the Central Bahamas on late Saturday or early Sunday.

Tuesday 24th – Partly cloudy, mild and windy during the day with few passing showers likely. Few clouds and breezy at night. Maximum temperature 79°F and minimum Temperature 66°F. Small craft advisory early then a caution across the Bahamas from late morning. Winds W to NW at 20 to 25 knots early but becoming 15 to 20 knots by late morning across the entire Bahamas. Seas 6 to 9 feet over the ocean but decreasing to 4 to 7 feet across the Bahamas later.

Wednesday 25th – Mostly Sunny and warm. Fair and mild at night. Maximum temperature 80°F and minimum temperature 64°F. Winds will shift from the NW’ly to the NE to E at 10 knots or less across the Bahamas, then becoming more SE’ly across the NW Bahamas late. Seas 3 feet or less across the entire Bahamas.

Thursday 26th – Mostly sunny and warm during the day. Fair to clear and mild at night. Maximum temperature 81°F and minimum temperature 64F. Winds S to SW at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas and ESE to SSE at 10 to 15 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet across the entire Bahamas.

Friday 27th – Partly cloudy to fair skies with cloudy periods and showers mainly near a slow moving cold front. Fair and warm elsewhere turning mild at night. Maximum temperature 76F and minimum temperature 67°F. Winds SW to W at 10 to 15 knots then shifting NW to N at 10 to 15 knots over the NW Bahamas and variable at 10 knots or less in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas and 3 feet or less across the Central and SE Bahamas.

Saturday 28th – Partly to mostly sunny and warm. Fair to clear skies and mild at night. Maximum temperature 75°F and minimum temperature 63°F. Winds light and variable across most of the Bahamas bur occasionally N’ly at 10 knots in the NW Bahamas. Seas 3 feet or less across the Bahamas.

Sunday 29th – Mostly sunny and mild with some clouds and isolated showers near stalled front. Fair and mild at night. Maximum temperature 76°F and minimum temperature 63°F. Winds E’ly at 10 to 15 knots across the Bahamas, falling light and variable at times in the NW Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet over entire Bahamas.
