This is going to sound funny but here goes: I don’t want my sons watching basketball on TV. In fact, I forbid it.

Well, forbid is a strong word. Here’s the truth: I try not to watch basketball when they’re around. Strange? Is basketball as inappropriate for a five-year-old as a horror film, a dutty wine video, or porn? Maybe not as inappropriate, but inappropriate nonetheless — in my book.

I have no problem with them watching soccer, golf, tennis, swimming, or bowling, however. Allow me to explain.
