GENERAL SITUATION: Large high pressure ridge over the Atlantic Ocean to the Central and SE Bahamas continues to produce fresh to strong breezes over the area. Meanwhile a stationary front near the extreme NW Bahamas will dissipate on Wednesday as another cold front moves through the NW Bahamas late Thursday or early Friday followed by building high pressure ridge in its wake.

Wednesday 21st – Mostly sunny and warm in the NW Bahamas but Partly cloudy and breezy with few scattered showers in the Central and SE Bahamas through nightfall. Fair and mild at night in the NW Bahamas. Max Temperature 84°F and Min Temperature 73°F. Small craft caution continues for the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds NE to E at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas with peak winds near 20 knots and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 3 to 5 feet in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 7 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas. Light to moderate N’ly and E’ly swells expected. Light to moderate E’ly swells over the entire Bahamas.

Thursday 22nd – Mostly sunny and warm in the NW Bahamas but cloudy periods with few scattered showers during the day through nightfall in the Central and SE Bahamas. Max Temperature 84°F and Min Temperature 72°F. Small craft caution continues for the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds NE’ly at 15 knot or less in the NW Bahamas and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 3 to 5 feet in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 7 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas. Light to moderate E’ly swells over the entire Bahamas.

Friday 23rd – Partly cloudy and warm with few scattered showers likely through nightfall. Max Temperature 83°F and Min Temperature 72°F. Winds NE’ly at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas and E’ly at 15 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas and 3 to 5feet over the SE Bahamas. Light to moderate E’ly swells over the entire Bahamas.

Saturday 24th – Partly to mostly sunny and warm with the slight chance of a passing shower. Fair and mild at night. Max Temperature 83°F and Min Temperature 74°F. Small craft caution for Central and SE Bahamas. Winds NE to E at 15 knots or less in the NW Bahamas, and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 3 to 5 feet in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 7 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas. Light to moderate mixed swells across the entire Bahamas. Sunday 25th –Partly sunny to mostly sunny, warm and windy with the slight chance of a shower during the day, turning fair and mild at night. Max Temperature 83°F and Min Temperature 74°F.Small craft advisory for entire Bahamas. Winds NE to E at 15 to 25 knots in the NW and NE to E at 20 to 25 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 5 to 8 feet in the NW Bahamas and 6 to 9 feet the Central and SE Bahamas. Light to moderate N’ly to E’ly swells across the entire Bahamas. Beachgoers and mariners should exercise extreme caution due to the high risk of rip currents and rough surf, especially along the northern and eastern shorelines during stated advisories. Winds and seas will be higher in heavy showers or possible thunderstorms.
