As the College of the Bahamas (COB) prepares to mark its transition to university this week, alumni from the college are sporting “University of The Bahamas” blue to mark the occasion. Sir Franklyn Wilson (pictured center), who served as COB Council Chairman from 2002-2007, poses alongside COB alumni, Tavares LaRoda (left) and Annie-Laurie Munroe. Mr. LaRoda, who is Sunshine Holdings’ General Legal Counsel, once served as the President of the College of the Bahamas Union of Students (COBUS). He and Ms. Munroe, who serves as an attorney at Sunshine Holdings, both graduated with an AA, Law & Criminal Justice in 2002.
