Pastor Darrin Rolle and Pat’s Uniform collaborated to donate uniforms to three very grateful schools in West Grand Bahama on Wednesday afternoon.

Mary Cooper, Superintendent of Education for Grand Bahama, Bimini and the Cays spoke highly of Rolle and his organization, the Falcons Boys’ Club for foregoing their usual donation of uniforms so that Martin Town Primary, Bartlett Hill Primary and West End Primary schools, were given a donation of school uniforms instead.

“Many students have lost their homes and of course, with it everything they own. So pastor Rolle and Pat’s Uniforms’ donation is much appreciated,” Cooper stated.

Rolle, president and founder of the Falcons Boys’ Club shared that the uniform shop usually assists his Boys’ Club with uniforms at this time of year; however, he said the students of West Grand Bahama have a greater need at this time.

“The goodwill gesture by Pat’s Uniform of donating uniforms to the girls of three primary schools in the West, due to having an excess of girls’ uniforms, has been well received by the schools. And I am happy to have been able to assist,” the Boys’ Club president noted.

On hand for the presentation from West End Primary was principal Navidia Mills, who spoke of Rolle forgoing his Boys’ Club uniforms in order for students of West Grand Bahama to have new uniforms to replace what was lost in the storm.

“This generous donation is very timely and much appreciated. This means that our students will be able to return to school in uniform very shortly,” Mills said.

The West End Primary principal shared that due to the kind donations of Rolle, Pat’s Uniform and other corporate citizens, the school is running smoothly.

Sharmaine Russell, Guidance Counselor at Bartlett Hill Primary School also thanked Rolle and Pat’s Uniform for their most generous donation that will assist those students most in need.

“We have close to 55 female students that will now have a jumper and skirt that they did not have due to the storm. The students will be very appreciative,” Russell added.

The Martin Town Primary School representative collecting the uniform donations for that school also thanked Rolle and the Pat’s Uniform for their very generous and thoughtful gesture.

Michael Sweeting, Manager at Pat’s Uniform confirmed the good feeling he had when presenting the educator with the uniforms for their students.

“I was approached by pastor Rolle and thought it was an opportunity to give back that we could not pass up. As we see the devastation in West Grand Bahama it was obvious, as corporate citizens, it is our duty to give back. Although we only helped the girls right now, we can hopefully assist the boys further down the line,” Sweeting stated.
