Police plan autopsy on remains found near Easter Rd

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of skeletal remains on the Eastern Road area yesterday afternoon.

Officer-In-Charge of the Eastern Division, Ismella Davis, said the discovery was made sometime around 3.30 p.m. She did not disclose who discovered the remains.

Police say the body was clad in blue jeans. Up to press time last night police could not say whether the remains were that of a man or a woman., or the race of the individual.

The cause of death could not be disclosed at the time. An autopsy will have to be performed, according to police.
