Most Hon. P.J. Patterson to address Bahamas Press Club Awards

The Bahamas Press Club is pleased to announce that the Most Hon P.J. Patterson, former Prime Minister of Jamaica, will be the keynote speaker at its media awards scheduled for November 19, 2016, at the British Colonial Hilton.

Some 16 media professionals in the country will receive awards for their outstanding work, including a Lifetime Achievement Award and the Award for Best Talk Show.

It will be the second awards ceremony staged by The Bahamas Press Club 2014; the Black Tie event will be in the Governor’s Ballroom of the Hilton under the patronage of Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

The Most Honourable P.J. Patterson, ON, OCC, PC, QC, OE is Founder and President of HeisConsults, an international consulting firm headquartered in Kingston, Jamaica. A lawyer by profession, he is widely recognized and respected on the world stage for his knowledge, expertise and track record of achievement in the fields of the law, international negotiations, trade, and development.

In 1983, he was appointed a Queen’s Counsel.
