Dr. Andre Rollins

FORT Charlotte MP Dr. Andre Rollins was suspended from the House of Assembly on Thursday night by Speaker of the House Dr. Kendal Major.

As Education Minister Jerome Fitzgerald wrapped up debate on the University of the Bahamas Bill, Dr. Rollins attempted to speak and was denied.

He refused to take his seat despite several warnings from Dr. Major, forcing the speaker to his feet.

Dr. Major later suspended Dr. Rollins from the remainder of the session because the Free National Movement MP continued to argue from his seat. Four officers escorted him out of Parliament.
