On June 19th, this Father's Day, a special treat awaits you. Jazz In Bloom INSPIRE - a premier jazz event annually produced by Bahamian Jazz Vocalist, Anuschka Wright - is the perfect gift for Dads on Father's Day. And with this year's special discounts and NEW student priced tickets, it's that much easier to treat the entire family to a quality live music experience.

Jazz In Bloom Inspire is all about remembering and honoring those individuals, both young and old, that help to spark the light of inspiration. In this year's concert you will get to hear Mr. Ralph Munnings, one of the Bahamas' original Fathers of Jazz, on sax;  Adrian D'Aguilar, bassist and Anuschka's personal Jazz mentor; and the Gelin brothers - Giveton on Trumpet and Giveson on drums. Both of these young gentlemen are also being mentored by Adrian along with young pianist Eric Boxerman (and a few other young musicians and singers) as a part of D'Aguilar's working Jazz group called "The Jazz Cats".

Rounding off the roster of musicians, this year Anuschka celebrates her recent graduation from Concordia University in Montreal by making a Concordia connection. She's invited two talented Concordia linked musicians down to little Nassau to celebrate and share their talents in this year's show. We welcome Concordia Big Band director, Dave Turner on sax and Concordia Jazz Choir Pianist, Chris Tauchner to the Jazz In Bloom stage. So with a mix of the young and not so young, local and international talents Anuschka has prepared a dynamic show for her supporters to once again share her vision of Jazz but also to reveal the growth and knowledge she's attained over her years of study abroad.
