WITH AN extensive network of reefs and uprisings, the Bahamas offers an extraordinary number and variety of reef and bottom fish.

There are Mutton, Barracuda, Shark, Triggerfish, Snapper, Grunts, Yellowfin, Lionfish, Amberjack and Horse-eye jack, Porgies, King Mackerel, Grouper... and on and on.

The reef system, coupled with the warm and nutrient-rich waters carried in by the Gulf Stream creates a paradise for fish, and that makes the Bahamas a paradise for fishermen.

Excellent reefs for fishing can be less than a mile offshore and less frequented reefs are accessible in almost every direction from wherever your lodging is.
