Enthusiastic walkers at the start of the race....and they're off!

Over 1400 participants (runners & walkers) registered for the 18th Annual Atlantic Medical Fun Run Walk this weekend. (Sat April 16th, 6:30 a.m). Participants turned out in large numbers to support the annual event which brought together people from all walks of life. The event highlighted "superheroes" (survivors) of both cancer and diabetes.

The Insurance giant, through this signature event, encourages and promotes healthy lifestyles with an emphasis on the fact that healthy lifestyles through a good exercise program and a balanced diet can stave off lifestyle diseases.

Over the past years, Atlantic Medical Insurance Limited has donated the proceeds from the fun event to The Bahamas Diabetic Association and the Cancer Society of The Bahamas.
