Fri, Apr 1st 2016, 11:03 AM

There is perhaps no greater weight loss motivation than setting your wedding date. Many young women dream their whole lives of that perfect dress on that perfect day. The reality is, however, a whole lifetime of added extra pounds is not always easy to shed without the proper help and guidance.

Club One Fitness Centre has decided to create a program to help this process become more fun and effective. The Bridal Bootcamp Program will be offered to brides and grooms and their bridal parties to help get them in their best shape for the big day and beyond! The program will consist of small group training, a fitness assessment, a nutrition plan and even massage options to pamper the bridal party before the big day.

The Bridal Bootcamp launch event will take place on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Bridal parties will compete in a series of fun events for the chance of winning a variety of prize packages and the prestigious title of Club One Bridal Party of The Year.

Here are a few Bridal Bootcamp tips that anyone can use:

Tip #1: Give your self time
Chances are you didn't gain your added weight in just a few short weeks and shouldn't expect to take it off that quickly either. Set healthy and realistic weight loss goals instead of quick fixes and unhealthy fad diets. Start as far ahead of your wedding date as possible and enjoy the journey.

Tip# 2 Visualize for motivation
Create a bridal dream book. Collect photos and magazine clippings of how you want to look on your big day. Find a photo of you in your best shape and tape it to your mirror or refrigerator as a continuous reminder of your goals.

Tip #3: You are what you eat
You can never out exercise a bad diet. There is no better time to clean out your refrigerator and restock with health foods. Following a sensible meal plan will not only help you drop the pounds, but will also help add that extra glow to your skin that you want everyone to notice as you walk down the aisle!

Tip #4: Sweating for the wedding
Exercise is a crucial component to your wedding weight loss success. Dedicate at least 30 minutes of exercise on most days of the week. The key is to switch it up and find things you enjoy! Group Exercise Classes are fun and a great way to stay motivated.

Tip #5: Set a schedule and stick to it!
Your workout appointments should take priority, after all you are the Bride and it's YOUR day! Your workouts are just as important as your dress fitting, cake tasting and all of the other appointments you will make to prepare for your wedding day.

Tip#6: Create a support system
Losing weight is always easier with a support system. This is a great time to get the whole bridal party involved and have fun motivating each other to get fit. You can create a friendly competition and even give out prizes to the biggest losers.

Tip #7: Hire a professional
Just like you want the best caterer for your reception, sometimes it's wise to seek out a professional to assist you with your weight loss program. A personal trainer and nutrition coach can not only individualize a plan specific for your needs and goals, but they can also motivate you to be consistent and to push harder on those days when you just can't do it your self.
