Two more murders

Two men were killed in separate incidents early Sunday; one on New Providence and the other on Grand Bahama, police said.

According to police, two men were on Weddell Avenue, Freeport, when a man wearing dark clothing shot them. One of the men died. The other was transported to Rand Memorial Hospital. His condition was unclear.

Police were also investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who was found with a "wound to the body" on Wulff Road, near East Street. The man was transported to hospital, where he died. Police were unable to provide further details on the man's injury.

Assistant Commissioner Stephen Dean said police were treating the deaths as murders.

The incidents marked the 17th and 18th murders for 2016.
