President Jackie Curry and the youth department of Ebenezer Union Baptist Church in Farmer's Hill, Exuma recently participated in a Valentine's Day competition to celebrate the spirit of love. The boys and girls of the youth department were challenged to sell as many hearts as possible and the winners would be crowned Valentine's Day king and queen. The competition was embraced by all with much enthusiasm and eagerness as the prizes included seven-inch tablets, perfume and cologne sets and gift certificates.

Excelling to the top were Ian Curry, the new Valentine's Day king and Joanne Davis, the Valentine's Day queen. Special mention was made of Kendia Brown (second place - queen), Thalia Smith (third place - queen), Cameron Rolle (second place - king) and Dakari Munroe (third place - king). All of the children exchanged chocolate on Valentine's Day with the person whose name they secretly chose. Ebenezer Union Baptist Church Rev. Stephen Smith congratulated President Curry and her team for ably encouraging and motivating the young boys and girls.
