It’s hard to dispute the passion that The Bahamas Striping Group of Companies (BSGC) has for giving back which touts to their burgeoning legacy of service and love for The Bahamas.

Since their expansion and launch of its subsidiary, Caribbean Pavement Solutions, in Grand Bahama, BSGC has lived up to its commitment of investing in the Grand Bahama community by using its profits and time to the community that hosts the company through charitable donations, and with the launch of The Dollar That Could Project last year.

The company began 2016, by rejuvenating the parking lot of The Children’s Home. BSGC has taken a keen interest in The Children’s Home as they have continued to assist and provide food, clothing, toys, and ham and turkey at Christmas time, to the children as well as striping the parking bays and now enhancing the curb appeal with Rejuvenation

Rejuvenation is a more modern, effective, and eco friendly pavement sealer that is packaged with a three year warranty. The sealer is made from aromatic oils, and specialty solvents that rejuvenate asphaltic services at a fraction of the cost compared to traditional ripping and repaving methods.

President of BSGC, Mr. Atario Mitchell indicated that his company made a commitment to the Director of the home, Mrs. Shelila Smith to repair the pot holes and it was important for us to fulfill the promise.

He added, “As we became more aware of Grand Bahama and the work of The Grand Bahama Children’s Home, we decided that we would continue to assist them. This project would have cost the home $17,000.00, however, we could not allow them to assume the financial burden of maintaining the parking lot, and enhancing the curb appeal of the building because taking care of the needs of twenty eight children is not a small feat. Taking care of the children is paramount, and those resources could now be budgeted for other needs. Giving back is what keeps me going everyday and I couldn’t be more excited about this project.”

Karin Smith, thanked Mr. Mitchell and his team for their continued support of the home.

She indicated, “We are grateful for the support we have received financially, donations, or gifts in kind because they are always welcomed, and the work is ongoing, and as the expenses continue to grow, Bahamas Striping has been a major catalyst in fundraising and assisting the home.”
