THE main entrance to the Mall at Marathon will be remodelled to give a more modern feel.

THE Mall at Marathon yesterday announced plans to renovate and remodel the mall’s main entrance and corresponding corridor, the next phase in its multi-million dollar enhancement project.

In a press statement, officials said the renovations will consist of “retailing enhancements” that will bring “modern updates” to the mall’s setup. Additional focus will be placed on the retail stores within the construction zone to undertake the installation of new “prototype storefronts” that will “complement the overall ambience of the mall,” officials added.

“We are thrilled to reveal a new and improved place to shop with our planned upgrades to the Mall at Marathon,” said Carla Moss-Fitzgerald, marketing coordinator. The ongoing capital improvements to the shopping centre is just another way that we continue to deliver on our commitment to provide a quality shopping experience to our shoppers and the community at large.”

According to officials, Cavalier Construction Company has been selected as the general contractor to conduct renovations. Officials said Cavalier Construction’s work will be done “around the clock” in order to keep all mall stores in the construction zone open.

Cavalier Construction has also pledged that construction will be performed in such a way as to “minimise interference during operating hours,” officials said.

Construction of the western parking lot near the onsite bus stop, which will house 137 parking spaces, as well as other parking lot renovations, are all scheduled to be completed by summer of this year. Once fully developed, the Mall at Marathon is expected to house over 150 businesses and provide 2,000 parking spaces, officials said.
