Baby Doc return 'not comparable to the impact Aristide would have'

THE impact of President Jean Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier's return to Haiti is not comparable to the impact President Jean-Bertrand Aristide would have, said Dr Eugene Newry, former Ambassador to Haiti and Dominican Republic.

President Aristide has lived in exile in South Africa since 2004 when the United States and other allies assisted in his "forced" removal from the country.

That year, there were riots in Haiti calling for Aristide to implement the promised reforms from his 2000 election.
