This year's Popeyes Bahamas Bowl tailgate party promises to be more exciting than ever, with more activities planned for the Christmas Eve game. Game Day Fan Fest will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a grill masters competition.

Around 9 a.m. DJ 'Mighty Pencil' will kick off the music. There will also be cheerleaders, mascots and football toss competitions for VIP winners. Those winners will get a chance to compete for a $2,500 Visa Gift Card.

Cacique Award winning artist D'Mac will also bring an exciting performance just before kick-off. There will also be food, face painting and games for the kids. Games for the kids include long snap, football catch, football toss and field goal.

District Sales Manager for the Ministry of Tourism Angelika Cartwright said the idea is to give patrons of Popeyes Bahamas Bowl an authentic football game experience.

"We are inviting the whole family to come on down to experience the best in college football. The pre-game activities are going to be fun for everyone," she said. "This is an event you don't want to miss."

Popeyes Bahamas Bowl, which will be seen live in 50 million homes, is being broadcasted by ESPN. The game will be an exciting showdown between the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and the Western Michigan Broncos, and is set for Christmas Eve, December 24, starting at 12 noon at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium.

Tickets are on sale at the Thomas A. Robinson stadium for $10, $15 and $25. Special domestic packages are also available at Bahamago.com/bahamasbowl.
