For the third consecutive year Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC), local producer of Coca-Cola products, is donating $20,000 to the Junkanoo Corporation of New Providence (JCNP), and will be named the official sponsor of the Shirley Street Championship Performance Cup. This year’s donation will bring the cumulative donation to $60,000.

“This is an important sponsorship for Coca-Cola,” explains Cara Douglas, Marketing Manager, Caribbean Bottling Company. “Contributing to the continued growth and development of Bahamian culture is paramount to our company, for this reason a relationship with Junkanoo is a natural fit. For the first time Coca-Cola will also be hosting a “POWER” station at the end of the Shirley Street parade stretch. At this POWER station all Junkanoo performers will be served various flavors of Powerade, our sports drink.”

“The continued support of corporate Bahamas is necessary for our parades to grow, and continue to improve,” says Silbert Ferguson, Chairman of JCNP. “We greatly value partners like CBC who continue to support, and expand their sponsorship. For this we are proud to announce that the Performance Rush will be Powered by Powerade.”

Tickets for both the Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day Parade can be purchased from the JCNP Office – Norfolk House, Frederick St., Nassau.
