The Bahamas seeks Denmark's support in WTO membership

The Bahamas hopes to count on the support of the Kingdom of Denmark for full membership in the World Trade Organisation (WTO), as both countries forge to create stronger diplomatic ties.
Governor-General Sir Arthur Foulkes made the statement as he accepted Letters of Credence presented by Susanne Rumohr Haekkerup, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Bahamas, during a ceremony at Government House on Thursday.
The Bahamas and Denmark established diplomatic relations in June 1991 and have many features in common. Both are island states, low lying and are mutually concerned and committed to ensuring the fullest protection of the environment.
