HBO Presents Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo October 17th

HBO Latin America (@HBOLAT) presents Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo on October 17th at 21hrs AST*, simultaneously with the United States. Schumer, who recently won her first Emmy® award for Best Variety Sketch Series for Inside Amy Schumer, stars in her very first HBO stand-up special, directed by fellow comedian, Chris Rock. The one-hour special that was taped before a live audience in New York’s iconic Apollo Theatre, will be available on HBO GO and HBO On Demand after its premiere on the channel.

The special features Schumer, as she hilariously dives into the intricate details of her personal life and career. Schumer is one the biggest up-and-coming stars in the entertainment industry today. She is the creator, star, writer and executive producer of her Peabody® Award and Emmy® Award winning series, Inside Amy Schumer which also received a Critics’ Choice Television Award this year. Her one-hour stand-up special, “Mostly Sex Stuff,” stands as the highest-rated Comedy Central original stand-up special since 2011. Schumer’s other credits include HBO’s Girls and Curb Your Enthusiasm, and was recently seen as the star in the feature film, Trainwreck, which she also wrote.

Schumer joins a long list of stellar comedians who have starred in HBO stand-up specials, including: Louis C.K., Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan, Robin Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, George Carlin, Jamie Foxx, Jerry Seinfeld, George Lopez, Sarah Silverman, Bill Maher, Katt Williams, Wanda Sykes and Lewis Black.
 
Amy Schumer: Live At The Apollo is written by Schumer, who is also an executive producer along with Mike Berkowitz, Jimmy Miller, Tony Hernandez and Steven Ast. The show is produced by John Skidmore, Kim Caramele and Kevin Kane.
