Statement by Fred Mitchell on the Passing of Ken Perigord

I learned this evening with great sadness of the death of my very good friend and benefactor Kenneth Perigord. Words cannot express the sorrow that I feel over his passing.

He was simply a good person. He helped whenever he could. He came to the rescue always. He was selfless and cared deeply about The Bahamas, his children, his friends and the civic life of The Bahamas. I admired his pioneering spirit in business and his contribution to The Bahamas Petroleum Dealers Association.

Every year at Christmas he contributed a Christmas tree from his Christmas Tree farm and business to the Fox Hill Community. He was a great supporter of the Valley Boys. There was nothing that was too big or small to ask him to do which did not yield a positive response.

I am grateful to have known him. He was a great Bahamian.

May he rest in peace.
