The Bahamas has once again re-teamed with Rogers & Cowan, the world's leading entertainment public relations and marketing firm, as its agency of record to handle all publicity surrounding the upcoming 12th edition of the Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF), taking place December 1-12. The announcement was made recently by BIFF Founder and Executive Director Leslie Vanderpool.
Rogers & Cowan's global media reach and specialized expertise in film festival campaign management will once again be utilized by the Bahamas International Film Festival to broaden the Festival's visibility and profile, locally and internationally.
A wide range of specialized services and strategic counsel will power the campaign that kicks into full gear later this month. From worldwide media placements to marketing strategy and on-site activations, Rogers & Cowan will be in front of an integrated campaign that elevates the BIFF brand.
Once again, Rogers & Cowan Senior Vice President Dennis Dembia, a veteran of the global film festival circuit with Caribbean expertise, will oversee the global BIFF campaign.
Said Vanderpool, "Having Rogers & Cowan as a part of the team is like bringing home a family member for a special occasion - it is not complete until they are representing the Bahamas International Film Festival, and working alongside the filmmakers, celebrities and the press that make the film festival shine. The reputation that we have built over the years is one of the reasons why BIFF was chosen as one of the 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World by MovieMaker Magazine. Rogers & Cowan will provide global exposure for all involved, generating wide appeal for The Bahamas as not just a tourist paradise but a filmmakers paradise as well!"
BIFF 2015 takes place December 1-12. For the fourth consecutive year, BIFF will offer a "traveling" festival experience, using multiple sites in The Bahamas for screenings and events. Locations for this year's festival include Harbour Island, North and Central Eleuthera and Nassau. It will run from Tuesday, December 1-4 in Harbour Island, moving on to North and Central Eleuthera December 5-8, and to Nassau December 9-12. All will play host to a diverse presentation of films from around the world accompanied by an esteemed group of local and international filmmakers.
