Continuing its back-to-school community initiative drive, BTC hosted another iteration of its School Aid program in Cat Island, distributing backpacks and school supplies to all of the school age children of Cat Island.

Cat Island holds a special significance for the company as it is also the home to BTC’s adopted home, the Old Bight Mission Home. BTC has sponsored the home since 2012, assisting with renovations and supplies as the school needs and visiting the children twice a year.

This year was no exception with the children of the home also receiving backpacks filled with school supplies.

The event is part of a series of initiatives that BTC is spearheading for the back-to-school season. The company plans to have another School Aid event in Exuma to coincide with the opening of the BTC sponsored Rolleville Library. BTC will be hosting a myriad of additional events for students throughout the first months of the term.
