Fox+ acquires Starz and Encore movies and first run original series

Cable Bahamas announced that its REVTV Starz subscribers will soon enjoy their favourite first-run Starz series on FPX+ beginning November 1st, beinging hit movies, original series, and specials like WWE pay-per-view events to FOX+ subscribers on REVTV. 

FOX+ is a new premium multi-channel TV service that delivers exclusive TV series, films and specials, including hit shows from Starz such as Power and Outlander, as well as the Showtime series Homeland.

When launched in November, FOX+ will include a total of 10 channels, plus video on demand (VOD) content, for just $13.99 per month.

Cable Bahamas is providing a two-week free preview of the service, including its VOD content, from October 15th through October 31st for all REVTV subscribers.

As the key distributor of the majority of Starz original content in the region, FOX+ will deliver its award-winning original programming through worldwide premieres, as well as a slate of the best Hollywood films from the world's top movie studios, including 20th Century Fox, Paramount, MGM and Lionsgate.Cable Bahamas REVTV Product Manager K. Teneile Simmons stated that REVTV customers will now have access to Starz content conveniently packaged with the new FOX+ service.

Mrs Simmons also noted that the company's FOX+ subscribers will not only have the 10 channels of FOX+, but will get unlimited access to more than 500 hours of FOX+ on demand content, as well as five FOX+ channels in HD and three west coast feeds of their channels, at no additional cost. "In the past, Starz subscribers did not have access to its content in HD nor on demand," Mrs Simmons said. "Now, they'll get hundreds of titles that they can watch at any time using our 500 REVTV On Demand service. By pressing the orange On Demand button on their remote, or tuning to channel 500, subscribers can instantly access all the FOX+ on demand content we will have to offer." FOX+ will offer more than double the collection of on demand premium movie content, adding another 500 hours of movies and TV shows, bringing the total to more than 1,000 on demand hours for HBO and FOX+ subscribers.

Mrs Simmons noted that these additions are just the first of many enhancements coming for REVTV subscribers over the next few months. "We can't wait to reveal all we have in store for our subscribers," Mrs Simmons said. "There are many exciting new channels and new services in the pipeline."REVTV customers will be able to access the two-week free preview of FOX+ on channels 510-519 starting October 15th.
