Christina Davis called to the English Bar

Wed, Jul 29th 2015, 11:00 AM

Christina Davis, daughter of Deputy Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis, was yesterday called to practice at the English Bar. She was drawn from the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, one of the four Inns of Court in London. Lord Chief Justice Sir John Thomas called Christina to practice.

Christina and others were welcomed to the Supreme Court and, in full regalia, the new barristers were called to the bar and they signed the great roll.

This achievement follows Christina's mastery of her bar exams one year after completing her law degree.

In 2012, she also secured a bachelor's degree in mass communication and public advocacy from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, graduating magna cum laude.

Christina, 24, is the daughter of the deputy prime minister and his wife, Ann Marie Davis. Both parents, with family members and friends, attended the special event. Christina is expected to be called to the bar in The Bahamas shortly.
