A top Bahamian television producer has joined the team of The Bahamas' largest and most prolific advertising agency and production company, Keen i Media Ltd.

Ted Jervis recently re-located from Nassau to Freeport, Grand Bahama, to take up his new position of production manager at Keen i Media, leading the award-winning TV, film and live event division of company.

"Having someone of Ted's calibre and experience join our team of artists and professionals is a perfect fit as we continue to grow and expand our television production facilities," said Keen i Media Ltd President Erik Russell. "As a leader in film, commercial and corporate production in The Bahamas, our standards are already known to be the highest in the country. The addition of Ted in his new leadership role at Keen i Media is the final ingredient to fully deploy our location and studio television production services."

"I'm excited about being a part of Keen i Media," Mr Jervis said. "My experience in television productions of almost every scale has prepared me for this challenge. With the people, resources and fiercely high standard of excellence here, it's the perfect combination The Bahamas needs to grow in this industry."

Mr Jervis most recently served as Deputy Director of Television Production at the Broadcasting Corporation's ZNS TV station. While there, he was the senior producer and technical director for some of the leading television programmes, as well as national live television events, including the nightly ZNS newscasts, the production of the IAAF World Relays, and House of Assembly and Senate proceedings.

Keen i Media recently invested more than $45,000 to further expand its live TV production capabilities with a new broadcast-quality switcher, digital high-definition cameras, lighting and sound equipment. The new investment and added personnel have enabled the company to produce a whole new range of multi-camera television content, such as talk shows, concerts and stage plays, church services, conferences and rallies, and cultural and sporting events. The company is equipped to produce in its 2,000 square-foot TV studio or on location, for live broadcast, uplink via satellite, live streaming online, or for recording.

"Our reputation of groundbreaking, world-class production for TV commercials, films and music videos has now come to live TV production," Mr Russell stated. "Now, with people like Ted Jervis and the Keen i Media production facilities, there is no reason that The Bahamas cannot establish itself as a leader in the region for live TV productions." Keen i Media has produced content for HBO, ABC News, Good Morning America and PEOPLE Magazine.

Prior to joining the Broadcasting Corporation, Mr Jervis worked at a Nassau-based media production company and oversaw the entire television production department at JCN TV 14.

Mr Jervis is a former constable in the Royal Bahamas Police Force, and the father of two daughters and one son.
