GBHS gets 1,000 Christmas present

THE commitment of more than 400 persons on Grand Bahama and abroad has resulted in a surprise $1,000 Christmas present for the cash-strapped Grand Bahama Humane Society (GBHS).

Just two weeks after the group made public its desperate need for cash after a cutback by a major sponsor left a $150,000 hole it its annual income, came the news this week that they had won a grant from the US-based Greater Good Network.
