Scotiabank donated funds to The Bahamas Heart Association in response to Go Red for Women Day – a day that raises awareness of women’s risks for cardiovascular disease.

Scotiabank employees wore red on Go Red Day to draw attention to heart disease and its impact on women, collectively contributing funds to the cause. The bank matched the cash donated by its team members.

“At Scotiabank, our employees are passionate about impacting the communities in which we work and live,” said Leah R. Davis, Senior Manager, Marketing and Public Relations, Scotiabank. “Scotiabank believes that healthy communities make stronger communities. We are proud to support The Bahamas Heart Association in its effort to educate our communities on risks associated with and prevention of cardiovascular diseases.”

February was recognized as Heart Month. In addition to the employees’ participation in Go Red for Women Day, the bank was a platinum sponsor of the 51st Annual Ball. Photo caption: Leah R.
