With love from Visage

It's the shortest month of the year but Fantastic Friday fans will get to enjoy double the end-of-month fun as Visage takes to the stage at Bullion for a pre-Valentine's party tonight. But you have to still remember to save the last Friday of the month date for the regular party.

You can dance to your favorite soca tune, popular Bahamian hits and Visage originals at the British Colonial Hilton to get the weekend of love started off right, according to Visage lead singer Wendi Lewis.

"What we're going to give is basically the same kind of entertaining evening that we give at an end of month Fantastic Friday, but we'll do a special edition for the lovers, and probably throw in some love songs as well," said the popular and vivacious entertainer.

"But you'll still be able to shake up to your favorite Bahamian, soca and Visage music, but you will just get to do it with your special someone. And then there are the people who don't have a Valentine... someone like me I always spend Valentine's with my girlfriends, and we have a singles dinner, so even groups like that can come out and just have fun."

Lewis said the special edition is being staged because they know that people are looking for places to go with their date, and even by themselves or with a group of single friends, because no one wants to be stuck at home watching sappy, sad, romantic movies when everyone is out enjoying the weekend of love.

"We wanted to do this to give everyone something to do, and a good time with good music, good drinks and good food," she said.

They will also feature their new song "Make it Loud" for their fans. Nehemiah Hield, formerly of Baha Men will take a turn at the microphone performing a number of love songs.

Visage, Star 106.5 FM and Bullion are really showing the love for their patrons by doubling up on the Fantastic Friday fun this month.

"It's going to be a pre-Valentine's Day Soca jam down with Visage in a safe environment," said Theodore Sealy, the marketing and leisure sales manager at British Colonial Hilton Nassau. "We invite everyone to come out and we're looking forward to our regular crowd, as well as people who will experience what a Fantastic Friday experience is like for the first time."

Admission is $20 and includes one free drink. Free parking with proof of one drink purchase. Doors open at 6 p.m. The first 25 ladies get a free rose and a glass of champagne. Like the Bullion Facebook fan page, print the offer and present it at entry to receive a Valentine giveaway.
