A delegation, headed by Betty Tiley of Southern Gospel Radio Network Cruise, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Dr. Michael Darville, at the Ministry for Grand Bahama on Monday morning.

The group comprised of 100 delegates was in Grand Bahama for the day and, with the assistance of local coordinator Derek Stubbs, held a concert in Port Lucaya that afternoon.

Minister Darville welcomed the group to the island and said he was sure they would enjoy their stay here.

Mrs. Tiley said having been introduced to Pastor Arnie Shipp and Mr. Stubbs, she was pleased to bring the cruise to Grand Bahama, a placed steeped in Christian and biblical values.

Pastor Arnie Shipp, who has frequented the island on several occasions, added that it is their goal and mission to give something back to a place where they receive so much. He said that he believes in the slogan, 'Team work makes the dream work in The Bahamas'; and in addition to the concert on Monday, he will be back to the island during the summer to carry out a project involving selecting a local church, which he and his group will remodel. At the end of the project, he continued, they will have a rededication service which he hopes many residents will come out and celebrate with them.
