Sands Beer is kicking it up a notch by donating to a mixed martial arts team from The Bahamas. Bahamian Brewery & Beverage Company Limited and Sands Beer are proud to sponsor the Beast Mode Fight Team who are leading the charge in the sport of Empire Mixed Martial Arts. The team recently traveled to compete in 'Combat Night at Passion' at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and returned with a couple victories under their belts.

Founded in 2006, the team consists of over 20 members who have been competing nationally and representing The Bahamas abroad at top level Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) events. Since 2009, they have been led by Head Instructor Dr. Kent Bazard, a long-time fighter of over 30 years.

"When we were presented with the opportunity to get involved with the Beast Mode Fight Team, it was a no-brainer for us," said Michelle Fox, Marketing Manager of Bahamian Brewery & Beverage Company Limited.

"We are a huge supporter of sports, and this was just another sport that we could get involved with, and help to succeed. All of us here at the brewery wish the team great success as they compete. Sands Beer is pleased to support the Beast Mode Fight Team and looks forward to assisting the growth of the sport in The Bahamas."

The Sands Beer team is working to revitalize the sport of sculling in The Bahamas, has supported flag football, darts, and is now sponsoring this MMA team. The public is asked to visit the brewery's Facebook page or their website to learn more about the brewery and the sports they support.
