It's usually the season that's all about the red and green, but sisters Kandice Hanna and Krista Hanna-Nairn, principals in the KhanAli Media Group are all about turning things all shades of pink.
The duo behind the hugely successful pink party affair that really isn't so little, will stage the 13th edition of the little pink party known as the Christmas Village on Saturday, December 6 on the hallowed Buena Vista grounds at the John Watling's Distillery located on Delancy Street where you can shop, sip, see, sample, snap and score. The party runs from 3 p.m. through 9 p.m.
More than 50 exhibitors in the industries of fashion and accessories, beauty and cosmetics, health and fitness, food and beverage and technology and lifestyle will be represented.
According to Hanna, patrons can expect a collection of new products as well as the essentials and old favorites. Novelty pastries, libations and culinary delights, performances, and fashion shows will be interspersed throughout what she describes as the "ultimate" Christmas village.
The Christmas Village will host the Pink Poinsettia Close that will feature brands and businesses in beauty and cosmetics. In the Gingerbread Gardens you can indulge in food and beverage, with Nestle, the presenting sponsor hosted in Cocoa Corner.
Manger Square will be the center of attention with ongoing presentations from fashion shows to performances and prize drawings; while health, wellness and fitness exhibitors will be hosted on Wise Men Way.
Jingle Bell Block is where the women will find all things cosmetic and girly; while the baubles and gems will be located on Trinket Trail. Junkanoo Alley is where patrons will find the Bahamas Festival Commission and a number of Junkanoo Carnival groups who will introduce their bands and costumes giving patrons another opportunity to learn more about the upcoming May Junkanoo Carnival. And in Fa La La Alley will be all the clothing a person could hope to find and want to be seen wearing during the festive season. And in Candy Cane Corner patrons will be able to indulge their sweet tooth.
"It is the best opportunity to buy Christmas gifts, place orders for holiday parties and shop small Bahamian businesses," said Hanna with Christmas a mere 19 days away.
"Patrons should expect to experience everything that makes the little pink party the mother of experiential shopping events. With a number of exhibitors in each category all offering diverse and dynamic products -- handmade accessories, costume jewelry, cakes, pastries and cookies, flavored lemonades, iced teas, juices and wines, skin care, make-up, hair care and nail products -- this event is filled to the brim with the best of the holidays," she said.
As always, the first 500 attendees will score the little pink party's signature swag bag filled with full-sized and sample-sized consumer products and giveaways from sponsors and exhibitors. Throughout the party there will also be opportunities for patrons to score complimentary beauty and cosmetic services, gifts with purchase from a variety of exhibitors, free health screenings and prize drawings.
Tickets are $5 at the door, $10 in advance at Mimi, Mackey Street Plaza, Bay Street Medical Plaza, Marlborough Street opposite the British Colonial Hilton Hotel; The Lemonade Stand, Montrose Avenue.
