Apple Vacations is one of the United States largest and most respected vacation companies. The company was launched in 1969 and is headquartered just outside of Philadelphia and has been selling The Bahamas as a destination for more than 30 years.
To provide the highest level of service, Apple Vacations carefully monitors client satisfaction through its Vacation Satisfaction Questionnaires and is currently the only vacation company to rate hotels solely based on client feedback.
The Golden Apple Award is bestowed upon hotels who have earned exceptional ratings on the Vacation Satisfaction Questionnaires. The ratings commend all aspects of the property and highlight the outstanding quality of amenities and services provided.
The Golden Apple Awards are held annually, dating back to 1989 - the award is in its 25th year. In 2014, 183 hotels were awarded the Golden Apple; 69 throughout Bermuda, The Bahamas, the Caribbean and the Dominican Republic; 79 in Mexico and 35 in Hawaii.
Excluding the family of Atlantis resorts, Comfort Suites Paradise Island is the only hotel in the Bahamas to be awarded the Golden Apple!
In addition to being awarded the Golden Apple Award, Comfort Suites Paradise Island is the recipient of three consecutive TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Awards. This award is granted to businesses that rank in the top ten percent worldwide for positive traveler feedback. Stephen Kaufer, president and CEO of TripAdvisor, has noted that "The Certificate of Excellence Award provides top performing establishments the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most - their customers."
TripAdvisor is the world's largest "trusted advice" travel site which enables users to view comments from real travelers.
Comments from real travelers not only highlight the product of Comfort Suites Paradise Island, but also the people! The hotel is the proud home of the 2013 Choice Hotels Service Excellence Award winner -Annamae Neilly, room attendant. The award, supported by Choice International, recognizes noteworthy individuals at the franchised hotels who go out of their way to provide the best possible service to the guests on a daily basis.
William Naughton, senior vice president and managing partner, attributes all of the award wins, including the most recent Golden Apple Award, to the hotel's extraordinary employees. He notes that when the hotel was built and the first employees were hired, the main goal was to ensure that value and quality service be provided to all guests.

Plans are underway for the hotel's third annual Choice Awards, which will be held on December 13, 2014 at the Imperial Ballroom of Atlantis. The Choice Awards is designed to celebrate the best of the Comfort Suites Paradise Island family.
Awards are granted to outstanding team members in the following categories; including leader of the year, manager of the year, supervisor of the year, special recognitions, and the ultimate award, the Choice Award, which is given to the employee of the year.
