Roses:?Continue to spray establish plants for black spot and powder mildew. Cut back faded blooms and pick up dropped diseased leaves from around the plants. Now is the time to put in new rose plants and check your local nursery for selection.
Vegetables: Continue sowing beets, carros, lettuce, radish and celery. Continue to put out seedlings and feed your vegetables with a good fertilizer. Sow runner beans at six to eight week intervals. Beware of snails and slugs as they will attack young plants and seedlings.
