Two men denied drug charges on Wednesday that were filed in connection with Monday's drug bust.
Police intercepted a 32-foot boat one mile off New Providence and discovered $1 million worth of marijuana on October 20.
Cousins Brian Hanna, 36, and Danny Hanna, 31, both of Acklins, pleaded not guilty to charges of drug possession with intent to supply and conspiracy to possess drugs with intent to supply when they appeared before Magistrate Andrew Forbes.
Forbes remanded the men into custody because he does not have the jurisdiction to consider bail. However, Forbes advised the men of their right to seek bail in the Supreme Court.
They make their next court appearance on February 23, 2015 for the start of their trial.
Roger Gomez Jr., appeared for Brian Hanna and Jomo Campbell appeared for Danny Hanna.
Inspector Ercell Dorsett was the prosecutor.
