Rubins Help Newborns "Breathe Easy"
The latest sponsor and corporate citizen Rubins presented a check to the "Breathe Easy" campaign in memory of the late Roger Carron. This donation has brought the campaign to a total of $210,575 raised for ventilators to benefit critically ill newborns at the Princess Margaret Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As expressed by the company, "The management and staff of Rubins wish to extend our condolences to Mrs. Carron and her son for the loss of their husband and father. Mr. Carron will always be remembered by the ladies of Rubins and they will surely miss his periodic visits to our store when he invariably would engage us in conversation on all manner of subjects. His gentle and kindly way of speaking have entranced many of us and touched our lives in many ways. He is truly a gentleman who will be remembered and missed by many."
Persons interested in making a donation towards the nation-wide fund-raising campaign should contact Tile King, The Tribune Media Group, Doctors Hospital, or the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation. Please make checks payable to The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation. For more information call 242-302-4707.
