Baha Mar, the newest and largest single-phase resort in the Western Hemisphere has partnered with premiere telecoms provider, The Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) to deliver seamless and uninterrupted mobile connection for their guests with the installation of a multi-million dollar Distributed Antenna System (DAS) throughout the entire property.
Executives of both companies inked the five-year exclusive contract on 21st August 2014 where BTC will be the provider of the sophisticated telecommunications services that will deliver 2G, 3G, CDMA and LTE coverage property-wide throughout the floors, inclusive of elevators, basements, the Convention Centre and the Golf Clubhouse, of the luxury property.

Gershan Major, BTC’s Vice President of Corporate Sales & Business Development noted that BTC has been collaborating with Baha Mar for the past year to tailor the DAS infrastructure design to meet the specific needs of the four-hotel property guests who will occupy the over 2,300 rooms and 300 residences.
