IDB grant to launch Bahamian craft into cyberspace

Nassau, Bahamas -

The Inter-American Development
Bank (IDB) has executed a $500,000 grant to launch the Bahamian handicraft
industry into cyberspace. 

Signed between the IDB and
Bahamas Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Bahamas Agricultural
and Industrial Corporation (BAIC), it will allow artisans to do business
online. 

"We see on a daily basis
the significant improvement in the quality and variety of products produced
by the Bahamas National Craft Association members," said IDB country
