HBO Latin America presents the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, an annual event that brings together the most influential and prestigious musicians of the genre that have influenced the world, premiering on July 5th in the Caribbean.

This year’s inductees in the performer category are Nirvana (presented by Michael Stipe); The E. Street Band (presented by Bruce Springsteen); Daryl Hall & John Oates (presented by Questlove); Peter Gabriel (presented by Chris Martin); Linda Ronstadt (presented by Glenn Frey); Cat Stevens (presented by Art Garfunkel); and KISS (presented by Tom Morello). The non-performer inductees are The Beatles’ late manager Brian Epstein and The Rolling Stones’ manager and producer Andrew Loog Oldham, presented by Peter Asher.

Adding to the impressive array of guests are Lorde, Carrie Underwood, Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, St. Vincent, Joan Jett, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Kim Gordon, and Youssou N’Dour, all of whom perform in tribute to the inductees, along with some of the inductees themselves, Cat Stevens, Hall & Oates, The E. Street Band, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.

The star-studded 29th annual induction ceremony took place during the month of April at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in New York. The HBO special features some of the biggest names in music through celebratory reunions, rousing tributes and heartfelt speeches from both presenters and inductees. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was established by legendary record executive Ahmet Ertegun and a group of executives from the music industry in order to honor those artists that have defined rock and roll and that have continued to inspire an entire generation.

The 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is produced by Playtone, Tenth Planet Productions, and Line By Line Productions. Executive producers are Jann Wenner, Joel Gallen, Joel Peresman, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman; with Frank Garritano as supervising producer, Rick Austin as co-producer and Joel Gallen also directing.

Editor’s Note:

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc, is a nonprofit organization that exists to educate visitors, fans and scholars from around the world about the history and continuing significance of rock and roll music. It carries out the mission through its operation of a world-class museum designed by I.M Pei in Cleveland, Ohio, that collects, preserves, exhibits and interprets this art for and through its library and archives, as well as educational programs.
